We strive to enhance your training and racing experience to elevate your performance to the next level. Through individualized training programs tailored specifically to you, D1 Multisport will help you to realize your true athletic potential.
Multisport training and racing have been important parts of my life since college. I spent two years earning an Associates Degree at Suffolk Community College in the Fitness Specialist program. After graduating, I transferred to SUNY Brockport for Physical Education/ Teacher Certification. While at Brockport, I also earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology. Having the opportunity to work in a VO2 lab setting provided me with first-hand experience witnessing the effects of training on the human body and learning how to utilize this information to increase fitness levels. Understanding the benefits of aerobic and anaerobic training empowered me to effectively train my body for multisport events. An extensive knowledge base in sport skills, nutrition, and recovery enabled me to increase my fitness levels and endurance to that of a successful, competitive triathlete.
Since beginning my triathlon career in 1997, I have completed 12 Ironman races with a personal best of 9:36. I have also accumulated 26 short course triathlon/duathlon/Xterra victories. As a USAT Certified Coach and the founder and head coach of D1Multisport for the past 10 years, I have compiled a long list of athletes who have found success under my guidance. My extensive experience enables me to provide an effective and individualized training plan toward the accomplishment of your goals.
Multi-sport training has enabled me to regain control over my own health and well being. I know firsthand the amount of effort it takes to stay motivated and focused in order to reach your goals. Training, nutrition, and fitness are some of the most important factors in my life today. My personal experience and obsession with endurance training and data will allow me to effectively help you reach your racing and overall fitness potential.
Over the last 7 years, I have competed in several sprint, olympic, and 70.3 races. During that time I have earned multiple short course victories and podium finishes, as well as many age group wins. In 2015, I race the Sea 2 Summit 2.0 Triathlon finishing 4th and in 2017 I took on my first Ironman in Lake Placid finishing in 10:44:39.
Under the guidance and experience of Coach Gary Jensen, I will be specialzing in sprint, olympic, and 70.3 distances. Whether you are just starting out or a more experienced triathlete, I will teach you what it takes to be fast and efficient in the high-paced atmosphere of short
